Research Workshop: Statistical Analysis in Social Science

This workshop is designed to help students understand how to use Jamovi as a powerful tool for statistical analysis. Jamovi is a free statistical software that can serve as a viable alternative to SPSS or SAS, and is built on top of R. Guest Speaker: Mr. Dennis Baloglu

The guest speaker, Mr. Dennis Baloglu, will share his experience in analytics to provide undergraduate students with a roadmap to a career in hospitality analytics. He worked as a marketing and data visualization analyst at MGM Resorts and currently works as a data analyst for a brand development company. Additionally, Mr. Baloglu is an instructor at UNLV and developed the first undergraduate hospitality course focused solely on data analytics. Through this workshop, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to connect with professionals and students from diverse schools, expanding their knowledge about the career opportunities in data analytics in the hospitality industry.
