Role of the Position

Seeking applicants for a full-time nine-month tenured professor position with expertise in hospitality or tourism commencing August 2014. Responsibilities include: active engagement in a research program in hospitality or tourism leading to scholarly publications, securing research grants, and mentoring graduate students as dissertation/thesis chair/committee member; teaching undergraduate and graduate classes; and serving on various College and University committees; involvement in professional, community, and industry roles. We are interested in candidates who will bring excellence to campus via outstanding research, teaching, and service.

Qualifications

Qualifications include an earned doctorate in any of the following: hospitality management, marketing, tourism or a related field from a regionally accredited college of university with evidence of a substantial scholarly research record indicated by publications in top-tier journals, established grant activity, engagement in professional presentations, organizations, and appointment on journal editorial boards. Excellence in teaching preferred.

Salary Range

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent on funding.

The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration is consistently ranked as one of the country’s top college hospitality programs. With 50 faculty and a student body of 2,800 representing 38 different countries, the College is the largest and most diverse hospitality program in the world. Role of the Position

Qualifications include an earned doctorate in any of the following: hospitality management, organizational behavior, industrial organizational behavior, organizational communication or a related field from a regionally accredited college of university with evidence of scholarly research, publications, and research grant activity. Hospitality work experience and teaching credentials are preferred.
