Session 1.
Practical Strategies for Managing Multiple Research Projects: From Research Questions to Publications
Facilitator: Dr. Jungkeun (JK) Kim, Texas A&M University
Duration: 90 minutes
Workshop Overview
This workshop offers a practical roadmap for doctoral students, early-career researchers, and faculty managing multiple research projects. Participants will learn how to identify impactful research questions, design efficient experiments, prepare journal submissions, and manage revisions and co-authorship effectively.
Key Learning Components
- Research Question Selection: Identify high-impact, theory-driven, and feasible research ideas.
- Empirical Strategy and Experimental Design: Develop efficient, theory-aligned experimental programs (multi-study sequencing) while incorporating new trends in data collection and analysis.
- Journal Submission and Revision Strategy: Select appropriate journals and implement structured, professional approaches to managing revisions.
- Effective Co-Author Management: Build productive collaboration habits and communication practices that support long-term research partnerships.
