KAHTEA Membership, Dues, and Join

Membership

1. Institutional/Industry Members
This membership is designed for academic departments, universities, and industry organizations that seek to establish a strategic partnership with KAHTEA. It offers a premium platform for institutions to enhance their global visibility, support their faculty’s professional development, and actively engage with the leading network of hospitality and tourism educators.

Exclusive Benefits

(1) Digital Visibility & Branding: Placement of the institution’s official logo on the KAHTEA Homepage for one full year. A direct hyperlink from the logo to the institution’s specific department or program website to drive targeted traffic.

(2) Flexible Faculty Registration: Faculty members from the registered institution are eligible for the Early Bird Registration Rate for the annual THEREPS conference at any time, bypassing the standard early-bird deadlines.

(3) Priority Recruitment & Program Promotion: Priority access to the KAHTEA network for disseminating faculty recruitment advertisements. Preferred placement for graduate program promotions and announcements to our professional academic community.

 

2. Academic members
Anyone who is actively engaged in a teaching, administrative, or supervisory position in the hospitality and tourism disciplines or closely related fields in public or private institutions shall be eligible to become an active member.

Exclusive Benefits

(1) Academic members will be given the opportunity to attend one research education program without fees.

3. Graduate Student members
Graduate students currently enrolled in colleges, universities, or other educational institutions are eligible to become student members of the Association. Student members shall not have the right to vote or hold office in the Association.

4. Undergraduate Student members
Undergraduate students currently enrolled in colleges, universities, or other educational institutions are eligible to become student members of the Association. 
Student members shall not have the right to vote or hold office in the Association. 

5. Honorary members
Persons who have made outstanding contributions to the Association and hospitality and tourism education may be awarded honorary membership upon approval by the Board of Directors.

Membership Dues

  1. Institutional/Industry Members – $750
  2. Academic members – $300
  3. Graduate student members – $150
  4. Undergraduate student members – $50
  5. Honorary members shall be exempt from payment of dues.
