IJTS CONSIDERATION TRACK

THEREPS 2026 Conference

The THEREPS 2026 Conference invites submissions to the IJTS Journal Consideration Track, a dedicated conference track designed to facilitate high-quality journal publications in collaboration with the International Journal of Tourism Sciences (IJTS). This track is intended for authors who aim to develop their conference submissions into full journal articles for potential publication in the June 2026 regular issue of IJTS. The track is part of the conference submission process and operates alongside the general conference tracks.

Journal Information

The International Journal of Tourism Sciences (IJTS) is an international, peer-reviewed journal focusing on tourism as a complex human and social phenomenon. IJTS is currently listed as a C-ranked journal in the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List.

Purpose of the Track

The International Journal of Tourism Sciences (IJTS) is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of tourism as a complex human and social phenomenon. As part of IJTS’s ongoing effort to strengthen the journal’s academic presence and international engagement, this track serves as a structured pipeline connecting the THEREPS conference with IJTS’s regular publication process. Papers submitted to this track should be substantially developed, journal-ready studies that can be expanded into full manuscripts suitable for submission to IJTS following the conference.

Important Notes on the Track

  • This is not a special issue.
  • Papers selected from this track will be considered for the June 2026 regular issue of IJTS.
  • Selection into the IJTS Journal Consideration Track does not guarantee publication.
  • All invited manuscripts will undergo IJTS’s standard double-blind peer review process.
  • Authors whose papers are selected by IJTS are expected to proceed with journal submission and engage fully in the revision and review process.

Conference Presentation Requirement

Papers accepted to the THEREPS 2026 Conference under the IJTS Journal Consideration Track must be presented at the conference. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to attend the conference and deliver an in-person stand-up presentation.
