The 2024 CONNECT series by the Korea-America Hospitality Tourism Education Association (KAHTEA) is shaping up to be an engaging and insightful event for educators in hospitality, tourism, and related fields. The event aims to create a collaborative space for discussing the most relevant issues facing academia today.
The first session will focus on sustainable development within hospitality and tourism programs, addressing strategies and best practices to keep these programs robust and flourishing. The recent KAHTEA Special Survey results will be presented, and three panelists will share their views and implications to develop meaning ideas. In the second session, attendees will have the opportunity to view and discuss current research projects led by doctoral students, offering a glimpse into innovative studies and methodologies that can inspire and shape future research by December 6.

Session #1: Sustainable Growth of US Hospitality and Tourism Programs
The first session will focus on sustainable development within H&T programs, addressing strategies and best practices to keep these programs robust and flourishing. After presenting the special survey results, a discussion with panelists and attendees will follow.
Session #2: KAHTEA 3-Minute Research Pitch
This session asks PhD students to present their research projects in a 3-minute time frame. Attendees are encouraged to learn about cutting-edge, innovative research and methodologies and to support future researchers and educators together.

- A doctoral student majoring in hospitality, tourism, and relevant fields needs to submit a presentation slide, not a manuscript.
