From explanatory modeling to predictive modeling
for hospitality and tourism research
- Speaker – Dr. Minwoo Lee (Assistant Professor of Business Analytics, Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership, University of Houston)
- This session aims to share recent research trends and facilitate in-depth discussion about the published article(s) with the author(s). In particular, Dr. Minwoo Lee will
- introduce explanatory modeling and predictive modeling in hospitality and tourism,
- present emerging research trends and topics on machine learning (ML) based predictive modeling, and
- share his recent articles using this innovative approach and research experience with participants.

Session#2 – 3M Speech by Graduate Students
The KAHTEA 3M Speech is a presentation event for graduate students to introduce their research interests within 3 minutes.
<Rules>
- A doctoral or master’s student who wants to present must register for this event by Friday 11/4.
- A session moderator will display all presentation slides.
- A presentation time is limited to 3 minutes. A moderator will have a presenter stop at 3 minutes.
- The maximum number of presenting graduate students from each university is two. However, all graduate students are welcome to join the session as an audience.
